Castle Howard
Castle Howard is one of Britain's finest stately homes and located in the beautiful Howardian Hills amongst 1,000 acres of breaktaking parkland with magnificent statues and fountains.
Built in 1699 of unusual architectural design, with an elevated central domed roof, this beautiful house has many rooms each with its own atmosphere and filled with paintings, antique sculptures, relics, treasures and books.
Castle Howard is still the home of the Howard family. The House and grounds gained great publicity from the television drama "Brideshead Revisited", which was filmed there.
