We offer any of the above activities as a full-day outing. Flowing from the Pyrenees to the Mediterranean, the 170 kms of navigable waters of the River Aude offer a variety of white water sports - rushing waters for those who love excitement, quieter waters for families looking for more peaceful activities.

Country Walks

There are many paths of differing levels of difficulty clearly indicated for walks. Among them are:

• A 2-hour circuit around the village of Caunes Minervois to view some ancient shepherd's stone huts (capitelles)
• Circuits along paths in the Alaric hills where a wealth of botanical treasures awaits discovery - rosemary, lavender, wild asparagus, colourful wild orchids, wild irises, cottony cistuses...           

Golf

Situated close to the medieval citadel, the Carcassonne Golf Club has earned its reputation as a course of international standard.  Even the most experienced and demanding players will be seduced by the exceptional quality of its fairways and the speed of its greens.  The course has been created using and respecting the rolling relief of the terrain, designed with elegance and balance, the magnificent panoramic views giving extra pleasure and delight.  Its 18 holes totalling 5800 metres, with a par of 71, are open all year round.

High season: from 1st June to 30th September : 1 person: €40; 2 persons: €70.
